The Department of Philosophy is advocating the study of both Indian and Western Philosophy intune with the needs of the everchanging society. on classical Indian Philosophy as well as Western Philosophy, Logic, AnalyticPhilosophy, Philosophy of Language, Philosophy of Mind, Religion, Social and Political Philosophy. The vision of the department is to help students to apply theoretical and as well as practical principles to the contemporary problems and thereby effectively handles issues in day to day life.

The department is committed to development of student engagement with historically important philosophical studies , developments in contemporary philosophy, and applications of philosophical ideas in all areas of life.
