District Resource Center, NTR KRISHNA
Dr.SVS.BALASYBRAHMANYAM DEVARAKONDA M.A., Ph.D., District Resource Centre (DRC)Coordinator (NTR KRISHNA District)
In Andhra Pradesh majority of the Government Degree Colleges are located in rural and semi-urban areas, and they primarily serve students from low-income and underprivileged backgrounds. Students attending universities in rural locations confront challenges such as a lack of infrastructure and teachers, a lack of exposure to a modern educational environment, and inadequate background support. To address these issues Government Degree Colleges in the district were networked with a designated Government Degree College in the district, known as the District Resource Centre (DRC), to help primarily rural students. The SRR & CVR Government Degree College (A) in Vijayawada has been selected as a prospective centre in the NTR KRISHNA District. Since its inauguration in 2008, the District Resource Centre has been operational and effective.
